Feel the Heat: Come to Jet and warm up with our tasting of High-Alcohol Wines.
High levels of alcohol - above 14% by volume - make for big, "hot" wines that are perfect for winter!
These wines - mainly reds - have deep, rich colors and concentrated flavors from ripe, or even over-ripe fruits. They taste rich, deep, full, powerful, and HOT.
These wines are not all about bold power, however, and well-balanced examples can be elegant and nuanced.
For this tasting, we'll try several high-alcohol wines, including some from California, Italy, and Bordeaux.
